They have their destinies - not only the books, the works of art and artists. That the "monkey with skull" and its creator Wolfgang Hugo Rheinhold (1853-1900) could hardly be more different. Immediately after Rheinhold the sculpture in 1893 presented at the Great Berlin Art Exhibition as a thesis for his studies at the Berlin Royal College of Fine Arts, presented the Berlin art foundry Gladbeck & Sohn to licensed casts. These were not only to private collectors, but also to many international scientific institutions. There they can be admired today: In the Royal College of Surgeons in London, in the Medico-Chirurgical Society in Aberdeen, in the Boston Medical Library and Department of Zoology at the University of Edinburgh in. The most famous site is probably a Russian copy: It graced (and graces still) the desk Lenin Vladimir Ilyich.
