Karl Hagedorn (1922-2005) studied from 1956 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. In 1959 he moved to the United States, where he 1972 Professor at Hamline University in St. Paul. Hagedorn, holder of numerous awards, was an early work by Fernand Leger deeply impressed.
