Der 1953 in Spanien geborene Künstler zeigte schon als Kind eine Vorliebe für plastisches Arbeiten und Bildhauerei. Da er aber nicht auf familiäre Unterstützung zählen konnte, wendete er seine künstlerischen Fähigkeiten in der Textilindustrie an. Als 1981 in seiner Heimatstadt La Pobla de Claramunt eine Kunstschule gegründet wird, die „Escuela de Artes y Oficios“, übernimmt er dort die Funktion des Rektors. Diese Position gibt er nach einigen Jahren wieder auf, um sich nunmehr ganz seiner bildhauerischen Arbeit zu widmen.
