Ein Skandal war das Foto des grauhaarigen Nobelpreisträgers Einstein. Es zeigt den Schöpfer der Relativitätstheorie tatsächlich mit weit herausgestreckter Zunge. Der heiteren Gelassenheit und lächelnden Distanz dieses großen Physikers setzt Bernhard Jäger mit seiner Bronzeskulptur "Zunge für Einstein" ein ebenso tiefgründiges wie vergnügliches Denkmal. Das Gesicht ist reduziert auf die klare Form eines Quadrats. Durch zahlreiche individuelle Spuren strahlt es Erfahrenheit und Weisheit aus, enthüllt aber gleichzeitig Ironie und Witz und offenbart somit herausragende Wesenszüge des Genies. Schelmisch streckt der bronzene Einstein dem Betrachter seine überdimensionale Zunge heraus und präsentiert auf seinem Kopf anstelle des wehenden Haares eine Reihe von Farbstiften. Als wolle der Künstler dem Betrachter einen Streich spielen, sind Zunge und Stifte so gearbeitet, dass sie die Illusion andersartiger Stofflichkeit erwecken. Erst auf den zweiten Blick erkennt man, dass "Zunge für Einstein" komplett in Bronze gegossen ist.
