Der 1956 in der Nähe von Frankfurt

Der 1956 in der Nähe von Frankfurt geborene Wolfgang Grimm spürte schon in seiner Jugendzeit den unnachgiebigen Drang, sich der Welt künstlerisch mitzuteilen. So beschäftigte sich der seit 30 Jahren im hessischen Lauterbach ansässige Grimm zunächst mit dem Anfertigen von Zeichnungen und Radierungen. Nachdem er sich darin perfektioniert hatte, begann er in Wasserfarben und Öl zu malen und bezeichnet es selbst als logischen und einzig möglichen Entwicklungsschritt, sich hiernach dreidimensionalen Arbeiten zuzuwenden. Auf diese Weise sind in jüngerer Zeit mehrere Skulpturen entstanden, die von einer kraftvollen Dynamik getragen, das ungetrübte Selbstbewusstsein einer neuen Generation verkörpern und sichtbar machen.
