Guido Häfner wurde 1968 in Oberfranken geboren und studierte unter anderem an der TU München. Seit 1995 ist er freischaffend als Bildhauer und Grafiker tätig und arbeitet in zahlreichen Projekten mit seinem Bruder Johannes (Häfner + Häfner) künstlerisch zusammen. Auf der art Karlsruhe 2010 fand ihre gemeinsame skulpturale und druckgraphische Sonderschau Beachtung, gepaart mit Ankäufen zahlreicher Sammler.

Von Schloss Seefeld am Ammersee bis Timmendorfer Strand finden wir Werke des Künstlers im öffentlichen Raum. Guido Häfners meisterlicher Umgang mit dem Stahl verbindet surreale und abstrakte Elemente. Es entstehen Urfiguren, deren Kulturkreise er bewusst offen lässt.
