Eine Ausstellung in der Nationalgal

Eine Ausstellung in der Nationalgalerie Berlin stellte Bernhard Heisig auf die Ebene von Kirchner, Heckel und Schmidt-Rottluff. Der Künstler selbst bekannte sich zu Dix und Beckmann. Wie diese malte er aus der gleichen inneren Motivation: Melancholie und Grazie und eine ungeheure Intensität, die ins Visionäre geht. Dabei war der Künstler bekannt dafür, seine Bilder immer wieder zu überarbeiten und zu verändern. Der Künstler: "Es macht nur Spaß zu malen, wenn man das Letzte aus sich herausholt. Ohne Streit macht es keinen Spaß."
