The so-called Shabtis, small figures who should carry out the field work for the deceased in the afterlife after recitation of the relevant chapter of the book of the dead belonged to the most important funerary objects. For this purpose they keep their tools Earth pick and adze in the crossed hands, mostly, while a bonfires hangs over the shoulder. Original: British Museum, London.
