Als jüngster Sohn der Kriegsgöttin Neith von Sais wurde der chimärenhafte Gott Tutu verehrt. Seine Gestalt prägen der Löwenleib mit Brustmähne, Pharaonenhaupt mit Strähnenperücke und der schlangenköpfige Schwanz. Eine Erscheinung, die nur aus den synkretistischen Stömungen der spätzeitlichen Religion entstehen konnte. Die Figur im Metopolitan Museum gehört zu den schönsten Beispielen dieser selten zu belegenden Gottheit.

Its shape is characterised by the lion body with chest mane, Pharaohs head with hair wig and the snake-head-tail. A phenomenon which could arise only from the syncretic notions of the spätzeitlichen religion. The figure at the Metopolitan Museum is one of the most beautiful examples of this deity to be rare.
