In seinem Atelier im westlichen Münsterland entstehen einerseits Zeichnungen und Gemälde, die sich in ganz klassischer Manier an traditionelle Sujets der gegenständlichen Malerei abarbeiten (etwa Akte, Landschaftsbilder und immer wieder: Blumen). Andererseits hat er eine große Passion für die Kombination ungewöhnlicher Maltechniken, die er - oft in konzeptioneller Gemeinschaftsarbeit mit seinem Künstlerfreund Michael Sting (*1959) - in abstrakt-minimalistischen Arbeiten zum Ausdruck bringt.
