Nach seiner Ausbildung an der Staat

Nach seiner Ausbildung an der Staatlichen Porzellanmanufaktur nahm Strang ein Studium an der Dresdner Hochschule für Bildende Künste auf und kehrte 1959 als diplomierter Plastiker an die Meißner Manufaktur zurück. 1973 wurde er zum künstlerischen Leiter der Staatlichen Porzellanmanufaktur berufen. Seit 2001 Jahren arbeitet der mit dem "Kunstpreis der DDR", dem "Nationalpreis für Literatur und Kunst" sowie dem "Sächsischen Verdienstorden" ausgezeichnete Strang als freier Künstler.
