In his passionate admiration for the great skills of the ancient Egyptian and Oriental artists, the French Orientalist, writer and artist Émile of Prisse d ' Avennes did (1807-1879)-pioneering in the field of Egyptology. As a teenager, he dreamed of exploring the Orient, at 19, he embarked for the first time on the way and visited Greece, Palestine and India. Over the following 40 years, he travelled in Syria and Persia and the Arabian Peninsula, and lived for a time in Egypt and Algeria. Egypt explored Prisse d' Avennes Idris Effendi, in Arabic garments dressed, under the name. As researchers of the ancient Egyptian and Islamic cultures, he later wrote in his history of Egyptian art: "I have the most elegant templates selected, those whose gestalt conveys a very clear idea of the taste and luxury of this time, when the Egyptian craftsmanship was at the top of their brilliance.
