Rolf May (geb. 1956) wollte nie etwas anderes als Künstler werden. Schon als Junge verbrachte er jede freie Minute im Atelier des Malers Rudolf Fuchs. Er jobbte als Erntearbeiter und Tellerwäscher, verkaufte hier und da ein Bild und eroberte sich allmählich alle künstlerischen Techniken bis hin zum Bronzeguss. Nach seinen mediterranen Studienreisen arbeitete er unter anderem in Paris, München und Pasadena/Kalifornien und hatte zahlreiche Ausstellungen in Deutschland und den USA. Seit den 80er Jahren wandte sich Rolf May der Phantastischen Kunst zu.

Rolf May (born 1956) never wanted to be anything other than artists. As a boy, he spent every free minute in the Studio of the painter Rudolf Fuchs.
