Mehr als 50 Brunnen, zahlreiche Bauplastiken im öffentlichen Raum, Porträts und ein beispielhaftes bildhauerisches Werk dokumentieren die Bedeutung des bescheidenen Künstlers. Das zeigt auch der 1968 von der Stadt Augsburg offiziell verliehene Kunstförderpreis.
