Wolfgang Tiemann, geboren 1952 in Eickhorst, Kreis Minden, studierte nach seiner Ausbildung zum Farblithografen an der Fachhochschule Hannover Kunst und Design und an der Kunsthochschule Braunschweig. Dort wurde er 1982 zum Meisterschüler ernannt und hatte von 1992 bis 1994 einen Lehrauftrag an der Fachhochschule Hannover. Heute lebt und arbeitet der Künstler in Seelze bei Hannover.
